Describe the workflow, not just the feature
A feature request becomes more useful when it includes the person using it, the information they start with, the decision they need to make and what should happen next. That context reveals dependencies and helps the team design a simpler path.
Decide what the first release must prove
An early release does not need to solve every future problem. It should provide enough value to validate the core workflow and make the next decision clearer.
- Who will use the first version
- Which workflow matters most on day one
- What data or external systems it needs
- How success will be evaluated after launch
Make room for the operating reality
Software continues after launch. Ownership, access, support, data handling and a path for improvement deserve attention during planning, not after the first release. This gives the product a practical foundation to grow from.
